Confusion
So I had an interesting series of events last night. I watched the Rockies win in an amazing bottom of the 13th comeback and was informed that a close family friend died. It is strange when the otherworldness of a great sports comeback is suddenly put in perspective by the harshness of real life.

Charlotte kept laughing at me (aye, even snapped a couple shots of me) because of my intense, nervous, agitated watching of the Rockies/Padres. I'd occasionally say to her, "Gee, it's only a GAME! Why am I so engrossed, so tormented, by the outcome of a mere GAME?"
Nothing wrong with it necessarily. That's the joy of sports. But it is a frame of mind that can certainly cause a momentary loss of Real-Life awareness, and certainly a perversion of priorities.
